Ghost Riders In the Store
Another filk by DarkMark

A young fanboy went ridin' to the comics shop one day,
But just before he entered it, this vision came his way,
Two guys in skulls and two in masks a-ridin' through the sky,
On flaming bikes and flying nags, he heard their mournful cry...

Yippee-i-o, yippee-i-ay,
Ghost Riders in the store!

The skulls were both on fire, it was terrible to see,
Three of them came from Marvel and the fourth was from M. E.
The fanboy cowered in the door, but one thought came through clear:
"All of these guys' been cancelled, what are they doing here?"

Yippee-i-o, yippee-i-ay,
Ghost Riders in the store!

Their faces and their masks were grim as they rode through the air,
To speak with them at last, the frightened fanboy made a dare:
"Why are you guys all up there, as if you're still alive?"
They said, "We have to do this gig until our book's revived."

Yippee-i-o, yippee-i-ay,
Ghost Riders in the store!

They left him with some good advice of which I'll shortly tell:
"Unless you want to tend these nags or lube these bikes from Hell,
Then, fanboy, change your ways, and buy a lot less comic books,
Unless, of course, it's GHOST RIDER...won't hurt to take a look!"

Yippee-i-o, yippee-i-ay,
Ghost Riders in the store!
Ghost Riders in the store!

(A bunch of apologies to Vaughn Monroe, Johnny Cash, the Blues
Brothers, Tom Jones, and everybody else who did the original song.
And, of course, to everybody who reads this!)
